Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 release date and details

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is an upcoming first-person shooter game from Activison. It will be released on November 8th, 2011 and following the record-breaking success of the last Call of Duty game, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Modern Warfare 3 is sure to be a best-seller. Modern Warfare 3 continues the story of Modern Warfare 2 and advances the storyline of Russia invading the United States, only now their campaign of world-domination has expanded to numerous other countries including Germany, France, England and others. Returning as the main antagonist is the bloodthirsty Russian nationalist, Vladimir Makarov. The task force 141 of previous games will return, on the run after killing Lieutenant General Shepard, a rogue U.S. army ranger. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the player will be able to pilot a host of new vehicles, including aircraft. The player will also encounter a new plethora of guns, artillery weaponry and explosives in the fight against Russia.

There will also be a new subscription-based system launched with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, called Call of Duty Elite. This 7.99 a month service will give players access to exclusive Call of Duty content not included in the original game's release this November, including the Map Packs that have typically been released in the past as one-time purchases for currency in the console markets.
